Meet the Staff
Missy
Originally from Brenham, TX, Missy has more than 17 years' experience as a dental assistant and began working for Dr. Leiszler in 2008. Her main role is as a chairside assistant, but she also does sterilization and lab work, along with purchasing all office inventories. Dr. Leiszler appreciates that Missy is always geared up to be “one step ahead” and is able to lend a hand in any situation. Her favorite part of working here is ensuring that this will be the best dental experience you have ever had. Missy will be the first to offer you a pillow, blanket, TV, the option of listening to music or whatever it takes to keep you comfortable. She also takes pride in being able to help the patients determine how to maximize their insurance benefits for their dental needs.
Missy and her husband, Greg, live in Lawrence along with their four dogs. They enjoy spending their free time at car shows, watching college and pro football, and having fun at Lake of the Ozarks boating and jet-skiing.
Michele
Michele has been working with Dr. Leiszler since 2008. Her career in dentistry started in 1986 when she began working as a dental assistant, and she has been a registered dental hygienist since 1997. Michele and Dr. Leiszler work very closely together to provide the highest level of personalized and preventive care for each individual. Michele’s favorite part of her work is building long-lasting, trusting relationships with each person and family that she cares for in our practice. She also enjoys going to continuing education courses to increase her knowledge in order to provide each person with optimal oral health care. Her goal each and every day is to provide top-notch periodontal care to our patients.
Outside of work she volunteers at the Douglas County Dental Clinic and for the Kansas Mission of Mercy which provide dental care for low-income and uninsured people in Kansas. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Paul, and son, Preston. They enjoy the outdoors and love to be at the lake as much as possible in the summer.
Jennifer
Originally from Burlington, KS, Jennifer began her career in the dental field in 2006 and has been working with Dr. Leiszler since November, 2008. As our office manager, Jennifer is very thorough and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to her work and strives to make every patient’s experience in our practice a positive one. This flows naturally from her warm and caring personality as well her strict attention to detail. Whether it is the arrangement of a convenient appointment or the formulation of financial plans that make desired treatment more attainable, she is here to help! Jennifer’s favorite part of her job is the time she spends with the patients getting to know them on a personal level. She always looks forward to seeing their friendly faces and catching up several times a year.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her friends and family, cheering on the Jayhawks and the Chiefs, and trying to stay in shape.
